The Conclusion

I look up as the stars and stripes wave over the horizon
If you look into my eyes I know you'll never find
The weaker life I left behind

I am a soldier in the war on hate and greed
Sometimes the dark will stop at nothing
Won some bad enemies, lost some good friends
I've come to the conclusion that the struggle never ends
Now I've come to the conclusion

I was once a prisoner, too, but not inside a prison
Freedom is not and never was for free
We fight for her together, you and me

I am a cowboy on the plain of bone and steel
Some evil will stop at nothing
Won some bad enemies, lost some good friends
I've come to the conclusion that the struggle never ends
Now I've come to the conclusion

Alone the lady holds the torch, alone I light this candle
Innocence must ultimately meet with harm
And that's where Bucky buys the farm

Turn Around

I know that turns love into hate
I know what turns peace into war
I know what turns trust to betrayal
I know what this life is for

Something's Lost, Something's Found
Everytime you turn around
In my love your hate will drown
Turn Around, won'tcha Turn Around

I know what lives in your mind
I know what makes you unkind
I know what turns pleasure to pain
Looks like we're running in circles again

I know what you did right here
Scared that I would take you over
Shut me out, you did, right here
Now I'll never make you over

I know what turns hate into love
I know what turns fear into trust
I know what comes out of this
I know what becomes of us...

Under The Ocean

I won't scream 'till the morning comes
I won't dream 'till the moment's done
There's a lot more salty water where that came from

I don't care what the neighbors say
I don't know why I live this way
There's a lot more elbow room where dolphins play

Under the Ocean, down by the sea

I will soar into the open sky
I will live 'till the day I die
There's a lot more happy people where my future lies

Coming Soon (Change)

You left a week ago, Don't know why you're still here
Don't want to let me go, That is your only fear
I know what's good for you, You know what's best for me
Don't want to make you cry, I start too easily

Change, Coming Soon (4x)

Now that you've used me up, What will be left for me
Now that you've gone away, Now that I'm finally free
These wounds will heal one day, But I will be alone
Until the gardener comes, I'll make a better home

I'm crying out to you, Don't watch me waste away
I've given love to you, I've given night and day
I'll let the cycle run, I'll do my time alone
And when the gardener's come, I'll be a better home

Until our last goodbye, Why don't you hold me close
Don't want to make you cry, But this is what you chose

Maybe My Mind

Staring out the window on such a rainy day
Dreams and schemes and ferris wheels are oh so far away
And while I sit right here, it's right here I will stay
So I let my soul awaken and my mind drift away

But have I lost again?
What have I lost again?
It Maybe My Mind (3x)

While I watch the clock on the wall, waiting to begin
Golden opportunity has tarnished into tin
My heart wonders why and my soul wonders when
And I pray my legs will carry me until the buzz sets in

Up like a daisy, smelling like a rose
Of all the endless possibilities the ones I never chose
All come streaming back to me like I cut off my own nose
And all the while I try to tell myself the door will never close

Teddy Vicious

Ain't my life a cheese, Ain't my existence still
I got a beat up body and a broken down will...
Ain't my shoulders small, Ain't my belly round
And the couch is always comin' 'tween me and the ground...

You better not cry and you better not pout
Teddy Vicious' gonna' getcha' if ya' don't watch out

Ain't the movies grand, Ain't the TV real
I got a message from God, with a look and a feel...
Ain't the president rich, Ain't the people poor
Teddy says I'm going to the third world war...

Do you stare into the screen, Do you keep what you find?
Do you think you can escape what Teddy's put into your mind
Do you tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree
Do you hang your head in shame cause you forgot to ask for peace

Everybody stayed home and watched the war on TV
Mr. Vicious decided what the public should see
Mr. Nielsen declared that the war was a hit
Mr. President said, "Well, that wasn't so bad now, was it?!"

Woke Too Fast

Well I dreamed I was a ghost in a machine gun (2x)

But I woke too fast
And I choke too fast
Cause I smoke too fast
Looks like I spoke too fast

Well I dreamed I was a landlord in a graveyard (2X)

Well I dreamed I was the dealer of a dead man's hand (2x)
